My unpopular UFC 6 opinion
Let’s talk flow state. I don’t hate it.
I think flow state has great potential. I remember on UFC 5 my biggest complaint was “Why is Alex Pereira able to out grapple Khamzat???” In UFC 5 it came down to who is better at faking directions and it became super frustrating. In UFC 6 when Khamzat has you on the ground and hits flow state, you get mauled. That’s how it should be. That makes sense even though it sucks (just like it would in real life). Same goes with other fighters and their specific skills. I think it adds a lot to the games potential.
Now what I truly think needs changed is the animation. The screen should not go grey, there should not be these smoke like animations. All of that needs to go or be able to be disabled. It ruins the simulation aspect of the game and makes it feel too much like an arcade.
This is the biggest thing I think that would make a drastic difference on perception of the game.
