Today I bought two pairs of Birkenstocks for the first time ready for summer and cannot decide on which size fits me best.

I am usually a UK 7 so assumed I’d need a 40 or 41, however the 40 was definitely too small.

In the store size 41 felt fine, however now I’m at home and walking about it feels like my inside toe occasionally touches the edge of the foot’s base.

I also bought a size 42 in black as they didn’t have a 41 and I really liked them, however when I first tried them on I was worried they were too loose.

Now I’m home I cannot decide if the 41 is too small or the 42 is too big.

Can anybody please help with their recommendations as I don’t want to have wasted money on a pair?
