Hi, this is a throwaway account. So my (32f) father (64M) had a brain bleed stroke and is currently in the ICU. Overall the staff have been very supportive and I am great full for all the care he has been given. However when I came to visit him after work, I found him ice cold, with ice packs under him, and the room absolutely freezing. I guessed that he must have had a fever, but now that was obviously gone, so I took out the ice packs and covered him with a couple of blankets.

Well this male nurse came in and started arguing with me. He kept saying he had a fever, but he obviously didn't. I will admit I started yelling (and I said some things I am not to proud of) but surely a competent nurse would know if the patient had a fever or not, just touch his hand, it was ice cold. He then threatened to kick out of the ICU. I have since filed a report to his manager about his treatment of my father. Am I the asshole for expecting competent care for my dad?
