Oven set on fire. Landlord once again --2nd time--only replaced the bottom coil. I Can't smell due to nerve/brain damage.....so I can't smell fires or smoke. I told him I didn't feel safe with a consistent unreliable oven and would prefer to have it replaced.....They said no. Is my oven still safe?? I have attached pictures to show the damage at the bottom of the oven. Has it been compromised because it was on fire for so long or is it all going to be okay and normal......Just a little charred? He told me the cause of it was due to food. Something oily getting on the coil. But I know I don't cook oily things in my oven without there being a cover on it because guess what? I'm the one that has to clean it when all is said and done. I know this is somewhat of a rant but I don't want to be pushed around if my kiddo is going to be with me in a house that possibly could catch on fire because the landlord doesn't want to replace the oven.
