I already have a 6-month-old heeler/ACD puppy, and I’m curious what long-term day-to-day life looks like with them as adolescents/adults.
Right now mine is super intense, vocal, alert, and high-energy (which we expected and we love!), but I’d love to hear what your actual routines look like with your dogs.
How much exercise and mental stimulation do they realistically need to be happy and manageable? What’s your weekday routine like?
I’d especially like to hear about:
- apartment vs house vs farm experiences
- training schedules / time spent
- how you play with your dog
- toy recommendations
- puppy vs adult
Not looking to rehome or anything — just genuinely curious how other people structure life with their heelers. Looking for brutally honest answers!
