Hi everyone, I’m in a really difficult situation and trying everything I can to help my dog.

I have a 6-year-old Siberian Husky currently at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, and I’ve been told I have 4 days to find a solution before they move forward with euthanasia.

We re-homed him a few months ago as we couldn't manage him with a toddler and a new baby, the new owner surrendered him to the shelter yesterday and they called me with the aggressive timeline

About him:

- 6 years old, active and typical Husky energy

- Friendly with people, great with kids, and loves to play with most dogs regardless of their size (we don't have cats so I can't tell how he would do with cats though)

- House-trained and is very well behaved on walks with or without his leash

- Neutered

Behavior note (full transparency):

- He has had a few food guarding incidents over the years. This has been manageable with structure (feeding separately, no high-value items, respecting his space while eating). No serious injuries.

What I’m looking for:

- Urgent foster (even temporary helps!)

- Rescue organization willing to take him

- Or a direct adopter experienced with dogs

I’m happy to help with:

- Food, supplies, or initial vet costs

- Transport within the region

- Any additional info you need

This is time-sensitive, and I’m trying to give him the best chance possible. He’s a great dog who just needs the right environment.

Please DM me if you can help or know someone who can. Even sharing this post could make a difference.

Thank you 🙏
