My ex wife let a car get repossessed during the divorce. The debt has since been charged off. Is there any way I can get this removed?

This post is going to be vague. In the middle of purchasing a vehicle. Had the vehicle shipped in to my local dealer then was told I couldn’t test drive because they needed to fix an issue so that date was moved up. Car went to other dealer for inspection of said problem. Happen to know tech who looked at the vehicle. The tech said what carmax said was wrong was actually nothing and salespeople fed me some bs line “the issue was fixed by doing (insert lie) and is ready to test drive” I have text and voicemail of that. The Tech however did tell me there are other issues with the car that should have been caught by the 125 point inspection, but weren’t (the car wouldn’t be in “selling condition” if these issues were brought to light). So I have this knowledge. I would like to purchase the vehicle at the price it’s listed it is a great deal. However what is the best way to go about that. Buy and bring it back in or tell them it needs to be fixed up front (I don’t want to risk a price increase). Will they fix the issues if I purchase the vehicle or will they hassle me about it?
