I need help from parents who’ve dealt with this because I feel like I’m losing my mind a little 😅

My toddler (23M) is what I can only describe as entertainment-resistant. He doesn’t really play with toys, or if he does, it lasts maybe 2 minutes before he’s onto the next thing. We’ve tried everything... slime, Play-Doh, sensory bins, silly games… all a fail

He loves water, but realistically we can’t live at the pool every day (it's summer in my country)

The only thing that truly keeps his attention? TV. Specifically the super stimulating stuff like Bebefinn/Baby Shark, which he was used to before coming into our care (We recently adopted him). The problem is I’m trying to cut that down because I can already see how overstimulating it is for him and lower stimulation shows don’t even register. He just loses interest immediately

Even the park doesn’t work. We’ll go, and he has zero interest in the playground. No slides, no swings… nothing

So now I’m stuck in this weird loop where:

  • Nothing holds his attention
  • He gets bored fast
  • TV works too well
  • And I’m trying not to rely on it

Has anyone dealt with this? Especially one who might be used to constant high stimulation?

What actually worked for you in real life... not Pinterest-perfect activities but things that actually kept your kid engaged for more than 3 minutes?

At this point I’m open to anything

Hiiiii everyone! This is my husbands Owala, I bought it for him in Target back in ‘24 and he loooooovesssss it. Like really loves it. He says it reminded him of Grogu from The Mandalorian haha

But today the flip top thingy broke down and he called all sad to tell me he cannot get it to close or be leak proof. He sleeps with his Owala on his bedside table, travels with it, goes to work with it.

I’d love to search for the exact same color again for him. A little help?
