For context, my acceptance rate is like 66% because I don’t accept orders that are going to cost me to deliver because that defeats the entire purpose of why I DoorDash. I got a second double order while delivering and I declined it, but it obviously affected my rating which would bring me back down to Silver, meaning not as good of offers. Just frustrating because I do care about the customers food an the money they pay. I now know I could have just paused orders but I still don’t think this is right. On top of that, they push the acceptance rate but they don’t even consider the cost of gas now and won’t at least increase the base pay to match. It shouldn’t be up to the customers to tip a stupid amount just for us to consider the order worth it. I know my complaints will go unheard and nothing will change at the end of the day but it’s just very frustrating. This is how they screw over the dashers and the paying customers.
