Hello,
Ive purchased 4 panels from Polish 4Sun company datasheet all set in series in a single string [90,08V, 8,44A]. My initial idea, since Im aware that mixing connectors from different brands is a fire hazard, was to just buy the same type connectors that the panels themself had preinstaled so that every connection is the same.
Problem arouse when it turned out that the default module connectors are a no no-brand of chinese origin and immpossible to buy separate connectors to match. When i bought the first 2 panels the original seller (manufacturer I assume) actually provided me with 4 extra Leader connectors, that „seem” to fit. (the last 2 Ive bought form a different retailer with no bonus)
Therefore my question is: should I just cut off all the default no-name ones and swap them with staubli MC4’s, making it safer but might be voiding the warranty (The user carried out the repair or modification on their own͖ - warranty
or
risk it with the no-names with the Leader ones and preserve the warranty?
One could think selling modules with unobtainable connectors but providing branded replacement ones that the original seller also sells might hint at swapping them beeing fine.
I know this is a very specific problem but Im at a loss and googling didnt help much.
