Hi everyone Im a high school junior aiming for a t20. My grades/rigor are really strong and my ECs are unique and create a theme but my testing is horrid. I freak out every act i take and it just feels like a cycle thatll never end. If anyone who was in a similar situation as me and got into a top school or was able to overcome the test anxiety let me know!! In middle/high ish income too which doesn't help.

Hi guys! I know UVA is technically test optional but does anyone know what that really means? I am an oos student who is planning to ED to UVA and my academics/transcript are pretty good with but I cant figure out the ACT. I have been studying for this test for almost a year now but cant figure out the pressure thing. I study for the test almost everyday and there isnt a concept at this point that I dont know but the timing and the pressure of the test really mess with me and I freak out and go blank. I have a few ACTs left but with how I react to the environment it isnt looking too good for me. Does anyone know how detrimental it is to go test optional at UVA? Or have any advice to make the testing experience go better? Thanks!

Their responses change every time, and it genuinely feels like a soft rejection, and makes me want to give up. Does anyone know how accurate it is? Or has anyone experienced anything similar?

Hi everyone I am a junior wanting to apply to UVA and I was curious how they review applications. Where do they usually start with? Test scores/transcript or actives? I have a strong transcript and extracurriculars that I feel fit UVA but my ACT (32) is a little low as an oos student.
