Hi I(26F) and my bf(29M) is now ldr with almost half a day of time difference.
We had dated and lived together while I lived in the same country. We had on and off for three years and lived almost a year together.
After my moving back to my home country, we had communication issue. When we lived together, not texting wasn't the big matter as we meet each other anyway.
But now as we are ldr, it has become more important to me. But he mostly text me back twice a day and sometimes once a day. We had a call few times a week(twice a week?), but mostly less than five minutes even on weekends and holidays cus he wanted to hang up for many things he needed to.
I asked him if this frequency of texting or calling is enough for him saying it is not enough for me and complained about it a few times to find a way working for both of us, like setting a long call time instead of small texting or calling in a day. I think I tried almost everything I could do. Complaining, suggesting the ideas, waiting. None of them worked out.
And suddenly one day I asked him to put more effort in the relationship and asked if texting more is a negotiable thing or not and he said he doesn't want to see his phone all day and he needs a break. And I was like I am not asking you to respond all the time, just once or twice more in a day? And he told me to leave him alone. It was on Monday, and since then he hasn't replied to me.
I am wondering if he ghosted me to break up or if I should give him more time.
