MN1 Referees: Nursery head teacher and Chairman of community centre

The nursery head teacher has kindly agreed to
Be a referee for our child’s MN1 application but the baby is only going to nursery for the past 1 year. I think one of the requirements for the referee is they need to know the applicant for 3 years. Would that be a problem for us to submit MN1 with nursery head teacher who knows the kid for only 1 year?

Another referee is the chairman of the community centre (it is also a place of worship of a recognised religion) we attend, could they be considered as a minister of religion (I asked them if they are considered a minister of religion, but they didn’t know really). The community centre is registered as a charity organisation not a company afaik. Can they be a referee?

PS: we reached out to GP and dentist, they said they can’t do this

Landlord is looking for 95% of deposit, but house agent is advising something different

We were renting a house though an agent and was living there for 3 year. The house has started to infested with mold, we informed the agent, few mold specialists visited the house too and suggested few options, but the landlord decided not to do anything.

During our tenure, agency sent inspectors every 4 months and the feedback was "you're taking care of the house well".

At the end of 3rd year tenancy, we decided to leave and now the landlord had decided to hold 95% of the deposit (slightly less than one grand) for deep cleaning (~600+) and a carpet change (~350+). But the agency has suggested to give a counter offer as they also said the deep cleaning charge for them will usually be less than 300 but we didn't even leave the house in such filthy condition. Landlord didn't accept the counter offer.

Now the agency is suggesting me to say no the DPS claim from landlord that will trigger legal procedures (which they say is free).

I just want to know what are the implications of such legal procedures on us. As we are just foreigners, we are working in UK.

Any suggestions / advices / recommendations will be extremely useful.

Thanks.

Travelling before MN1 application and current visa expiry

I have ILR and my child (3 years old) is still in skilled worker visa dependant visa, that is valid until 15th of July.

We didn't apply their MN1 yet because there is a travel coming up to see elderly grand parents.

We are thinking of coming back to UK by end of June and apply MN1.

My questions are:

  1. Would they still allow my child to enter in UK even if they have only 15 days for visa expiry?

  2. I am very much aware of over stayer clause, but I want to know should I rush to apply MN1 now before leave and come back or can I just keep it calm and apply when we're back in UK?

  3. Because there is no priority / super priority for MN1, usually is it possible to find next day biometric appointment for the child? Or is that very restricted?
