First Wise transfer from US client taking up to 4 days — normal?

First time receiving salary through Wise from a US client. Client already sent the transfer and I saw the screenshot from their end showing:

“Your money’s on its way to us. Your money might take up to 4 days to get to us.”

The transfer was initiated Sunday morning US time and it’s also my first Wise transfer with this client.

For those experienced with Wise:

  • Is this normal for first-time transfers?
  • Did your future transfers become faster after the first one?
  • Would you still recommend Wise over PayPal for recurring VA/freelance salary payments?

I’m based in the Philippines by the way. Appreciate any insights from experienced freelancers/VA users.
