Does anyone know whether a diaper bag counts as your personal item when traveling with a lap infant or if you get a diaper bag in addition to your personal item?

I called the service line to ask this question, and she told me i can have a diaper bag. But there was definitely a language barrier, and I’m not sure that is true. I’m just trying to plan how I pack.

On other airlines, the diaper bag is in addition to the personal item. But I’m not sure about Aer Lingus.

This is what our itinerary shows. There are four people (2 adults, 1 three-year-old, and 1 lap infant) traveling together.

I searched this sub and didn’t find an answer, so I appreciate any advice.
