I’m never up for consideration for fiefs when I’m involved in the siege or lead the siege. Why am I not being considered?

My castle is currently losing -26 food a day but the villages in the castle doesn’t produce food… I only have a garrison of 152 and all the food upgrades and I irrigation active for my daily defaults. Is there anyway I can up my food?
