PS5 won’t detect my PULSE Elite headset even though it’s paired
Hi everyone, I’m having a very annoying issue with my PlayStation PULSE Elite headset.
The headset and PS Link USB dongle seem to pair normally. Both lights become solid white, so they are clearly connected to each other. But on my PS5, the headset does not appear as an audio output device, and the PS5 acts like nothing is connected.
The weird part: when I plug the same PS Link dongle into my Windows PC, the headset works perfectly. So the headset and dongle are not dead.
What I already tried:
- Re-pairing the headset with the PS Link dongle
- Holding the headset PS Link button to reset it
- Resetting the USB dongle
- Trying different USB ports on the PS5, front and back
- Pressing the PS Link button on the dongle while connected to PS5
- Restarting the PS5 fully
- Safe Mode → Clear Cache
- Safe Mode → Rebuild Database
- Restore Default Settings
- Checking Sound → Audio Output on PS5, but it still doesn’t show
- Removing other USB devices from the PS5
Still nothing. The dongle and headset connect to each other, both lights solid white, but the PS5 doesn’t detect it as an audio device.
Has anyone had this exact issue? Is this a PS5 USB/audio bug, a PS Link firmware issue, or something else?
