We previously maintained the hot tub with chlorine granules containing CYA, which increased the stabilizer so rapidly we had to drain and refill every 4 weeks.

I switched to the frog ease and did everything perfectly according to the instructions. We used the hot tub for 4 days, and on the 4th day I noticed what seemed like biofilm on all the hot tub surfaces and I broke out in foliculitis the next day.

We didn’t do any maintenance in those 4 days- I was under the impression the frog was self- running and I’d just need to do a non-chorine shock on day 7.

Any advice is appreciated- we’ve tried so many things with this hot tub and I’m ready to sell it.
