Tick Found, Need Advice
To preface I'm a very paranoid person when it comes to things like bugs, especially things like ticks. I'm trying hard not to jump to the worst case scenario, but I wanted to know if I should be worried or not. So with that out of the way -
I have a dog, for background, and he's given flea and tick prevention/protection. I found a tick on my bathroom wall yesterday. It was crawling beside the light switch. Didn't think much of it because my mom had said it must have survived somehow bc they had pulled a tick off our dog earlier.
Just a few minutes ago, I found a tick on my thigh just above my knee. It hadn't quite latched on yet and I was able to pluck it off and flush it. But now I'm kinda getting scared that maybe there are more in the house and that I should be worried. Does two make an infestation? Ik they say ticks can't survive long inside EXCEPT FOR the brown dog tick. Which I think is what ticks I found both times. I'm just really freaking out and trying not to panic bc I really do NOT handle these sort of things well.
Sorry, Edit: This is in Southern Indiana, if that helps. I was outside for a bit today, but it wasn't really near any plants or anything. I went to the store, walked on the sidewalk which was under a tree, and then sat on an elevated steel chair at this higher up picnic table thing. I hadn't noticed anything on my leg before I showered, but that doesn't mean there wasn't anything I guess
