This adorable little ankle biter is Rosie. She is 6 1/2 months old, and I adopted her (from a friend whose bunny had babies!) when she was 9 weeks old. She was spayed and vaccinated a month ago.
She is the light of my life, and I’m so happy to be her mom… I’m a bit concerned, though. Over the past week or so, she’s gotten really aggressive. When I’m walking or standing, she will bite my toes through my socks and nip at my ankles and shins. When I’m sitting in my chair with my blanket, like I am in the picture, Rosie will jump up and start digging at me/the blanket HARD. She did it yesterday without the blanket and her nails cut through my tank top and scraped me (I cut her nails today). She’ll grab the blanket with her teeth and yank it a few times before going back to digging really, really fast.
I cannot for the life of me figure out the reason for this. At first, I thought she wanted food. Yep, she eats, she poops… now’s she’s back digging again. I think she wants pets, but when I try petting her she jerks away (we have plenty of pets at other times, but she doesn’t like it during her episode). She’s done this before with the carpet, her litter box, and HER blanket, but never this long, this intensely, and this aggressively. I have no idea what she wants or why she’s doing this. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this behavior and how to address it?
