Firstly, I'm no physicist, certainly not a mathematician, and dont plan to be either, but i am fascinated by the lay-persons' explanation for a lot of the new discoveries.
Recently, I've heard of a theory that gravity is a weak force because it's leaking into a fifth dimension, which is somehow small...? The whole idea escapes me, but I leave the specifics to the big-brain crowd.
This morning, I was listening to something about dark matter and how we havent been able to detect it, and I thought of something...
Maybe we cant find it because it isnt matter. Maybe it is just gravity leaking back out from that fifth dimension in some way.
I have no clue, just an idea I thought someone smarter than me may be able to do something with. Either way, I'd be curious what you folks might think about the idea.
