Saw this on amazon, and it seemed pretty decent. Only downside is the Ryzen AI 5 340.
Some people say you need 32gb ram, while others say you need 16 gb of ram. What do you guys recommend.
Some laptops i've been looking at. All that matters is a laptop with a decent screen, dedicated gpu, and is somewhat light. $1000-1200 budget. As long as it can handle 3d modeling software and last 5 years, i'll be happy.
These are my final three options currently. Which is the biggest bang for my buck
Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 - 2025 ($1300) (Amazon)
- 16" Oled 2880 x 1800 120hz
- 16 gb ram, 1tb ssd
- Rtx 5050
- Intel core ultra 7 255h
Lenovo Ideapad Pro 5 2026 ($1100) (Amazon)
- 16" Oled 2880x1800 120hz
- 16 gb ram, 1tb ssd
- RTX 5050
- AMD-6 Core Ryzen AI 5 340
NOTE: I could pay 100 less, and get it with only 512 gb ssd.
HP omnibook 7 16" ($1100, but it is currently out of stock) (Costco)
- 2k oled 120Hz
- 32 gb ram, 1tb ssd
- RTX 4050
- Intel core ultra 7255H
The laptop i'm planning on buying has a dedicated graphics card and 16gb ram(1tb ssd). Some people say you need 32gb ram, while others say you need 16 gb of ram. What do you guys recommend.
