Similar artists to Birds Of Tokyo?
Just a very curious question, what bands/artists are similar to Birds Of Tokyo?. I don't mind whether they're Australian or international, I would just like to know what singers or bands are similar?

For me Nanango would definitely be up there. If anyone isn't familiar with Nanango, it's a small country town located on the D'aguilar Hwy about 24 km south east of Kingaroy. I stayed at the Homestead Caravan Park in Nanango which is basically south of the town center and pretty close to the karting track as you drive into town. The caravan park itself I found to be quite redneck adjacent, with it being located right next to bushland and the outdated designs of the cabins, you could definitely say it had that American redneck deep south trailer park vibe.
I also got worse vibes from the hotel in Rosewood near Ipswich. Funnily enough this was before I discovered the same hotel I stayed at in Rosewood actually happened to be haunted. Outside at the back area of the hotel, you take the stairs up to where the hotel rooms are and both the stairs and the back area had surely seen better days, it felt like you were walking through an eerily rundown mechanic's garage just to get to the room you were staying in but what was more eerie was the hotel room itself. The room had this rather antique design almost like it was stuck in the time let's say the 1920s for example which definitely felt unsettling but I definitely didn't' experience anything paranormal whilst I was staying there. But walking Rosewood at night actually feels depressing especially past the Elly Rae Fashions store.
So whether you're a traveller or just a local, what is the creepiest town/city/place you've visited or heard about from others?
I'm not entirely sure what that thing or person is on Karnivool's Ian Kenny's side project Birds Of Tokyo Anchor EP cover. It kinda looks like a silhouette with a face or person in the dark smiling and being splashed by water, perhaps it's Kenny himself under visuals or special effects idk but I think it's taken from the Birds Of Tokyo Anchor music video. What do you guys think it is?
