I might have missed other banks, but these are the ones I have gathered so far.
I understand that credit card fees are a thing but this type of fee just doesn't make sense at all. I know some people might say "cuma 5 ribu aja komplain" but to me, this fee is just nonsense. I know many credit card users don't even care about this because they're already spending a high amount so Rp5rb is nothing to them, but for the bank it's a lot of extra money for the bank
I tried even going one step further, finding out if this is a thing in other countries using Google AI response and so far it has said it is not a thing anywhere else in the world. I cannot imagine OCBC in Singapore, HSBC in UK or MUFG in Japan charge a fee just to send e-statement through email. I also cannot imagine this being a thing in other developing countries in Southeast Asia or even anywhere else in the world.
I'm afraid this is going to lead to a domino effect, with BCA and nearly all other banks that are not on list also going to follow through, and soon they'll all raise it to Rp10.000 or even more since I can see Bank Danamon testing the waters already with Rp7.500.
