Hi everyone,
I am applying for a Skilled Worker visa and I am trying to understand the new entrant 4-year limit.
My visa history is:
Student visa: 14/08/2018 to 11/10/2021
Student visa: 09/10/2021 to 30/01/2023
Student visa extension: until 15/04/2023
Graduate visa / PSW: 23/03/2023 to 23/03/2025
Student visa: 23/01/2025 to 23/05/2026
Now applying for Skilled Worker visa
My CoS is for 3 years, from 25/05/2026 to 24/05/2029. The role is using the new entrant salary rate.
From what I understand, the 4-year new entrant limit includes time spent on the Graduate route, Skilled Worker, or Tier 2, but not Student visa time.
My question is: because I had around 2 years on the Graduate route, would a 3-year Skilled Worker CoS at the new entrant salary rate take me over the 4-year new entrant limit and cause an issue?
The employer has said they may increase the salary internally after 1 year, but I am unsure whether that helps if the CoS is currently issued for 3 years at the new entrant rate.
Has anyone had experience with this? Did UKVI ask the sponsor to amend the CoS dates or increase the salary?
Not looking for legal advice, just trying to understand if this interpretation makes sense before submitting.
