Hello to everyone in Redditland! I recently started creating a podcast called Surviving Narcissism hosted by Cryptic Azalea. The podcast focuses on narcissistic abuse, emotional manipulation, trauma bonds, gaslighting, healing, boundaries, and rebuilding self-worth after toxic relationships.
I originally started this project because I’ve seen how isolating these experiences can feel, especially when emotional abuse is difficult to explain to people who haven’t lived through it. I also plan to use the podcast as part of the foundation for a future term paper focused on narcissistic relationship dynamics, emotional abuse recovery, and survivor experiences.
Some episode topics include:
- What narcissistic abuse actually looks like
- Gaslighting and losing trust in yourself
- Trauma bonds and why leaving is hard
- Narcissistic parents and childhood trauma
- Boundaries without guilt
- Different types of narcissistic relationships
I want this to be both educational and validating for survivors while also exploring the psychological patterns behind these relationships in a thoughtful and trauma-informed way.
I’d genuinely love feedback:
- What topics do you think are most important to cover?
- What do you wish people understood about narcissistic abuse?
- What helped you begin healing or trusting yourself again?
If anyone is comfortable sharing anonymous experiences, perspectives, or lessons learned, I’d also love to include survivor insights in future episodes and potentially reference broader themes in my academic research paper later on. Thank you in advance!

Feel free to check out the first episode if you would like to, I'll be recording and editing two more episodes tonight so they should be ready to post soon! If anyone has any tips or tricks they'd like to share please let me know!
