Intern work

To all SG startups I’m a student from the U.S., studying economics at Boston University. Looking for something to do this summer, would like to work for a Singapore startup. I like the environment and culture there. I have experience building my own app, can design, can do pretty much everything (to an extent) and I’ve interned at a Fortune 500 firm. Would love to chat if anyone is interested.

If you struggle with procrastination, just know the work you have- you won’t get it done later. I know because I’ve been there. Don’t say you’re going to do it at 3pm, realize it’s 3:10 and then push it to 4. Next thing you know it’s already 10 and you’re going to say “tomorrow” knowing you’ll repeat it.

What you need is pressure. I realized I worked better when I had people around me, working on things. A good quote is that the top five people around you make who you are, because you force yourself to switch. It’s a switch of environment in a sense. When I saw my friends lock in while I didn’t, it honestly made me feel bad, and felt like I was a lazy bum, which was true back then.

In order to maximize this idea I created this free app called Commitmate -it’s like Strava and Instagram for goals where you can see your friends’ progress and compare it to yourself. You can also set plans and send it out to your friends. Hopefully this helps someone.

Struggled with procrastination and built this app: think Strava x insta for goals- it’s called Commitmate. (FREE!)

Let’s say you have to go to the gym at 8pm. You promised yourself but after work and class it gets hard. But if you promised yourself + your friends, the likelihood of going increases. Even more if this plan is with your friend. (That’s 2 features right there, with many more.)

It’s completely free, no subscriptions or anything in it. There might be some bugs, lmk- I’m just testing it out. I used cursor for the most part

Advice taken as well. Image is unrelated I just thought it would be good for attention
