I am having a covered porch added to the back of my home in NW Pennsylvania. The deck is 16’x24’ wide. The builder is using 2x6’s for the rafters with 2x6 rafter ties on every rafter (24” O.C.) are these way undersized or does the rafter ties add enough structural integrity? What could I do to remedy the situation before the ceiling gets put in? Someone please help ease my anxiety lol
I’m looking to upgrade our aluminum siding and found this Ascend cladding. Does anyone have any experience installing this or any recommendations for something similar? Looking for something that holds up better than regular vinyl.
