Texas folks still looking for hotels-

Local here. Born and raised in Justin. Dealt with speedway traffic all my life.

It won’t be *as* bad as race weekends at the end of the night when everyone is leaving all at once, but still pretty rough for anyone heading east on 114 towards Roanoke/Grapevine or south on 35 towards Ft Worth. If your room/Airbnb/whatever is not within a (normally) 15 minute drive, there’s usually going to be some dogshit congestion to deal with.

For this reason, I just wanted to throw out a suggestion y’all might have overlooked- Winstar casino just over the border of OK. It’s roughly an hour drive, but it’s a straight shot to get there north on 35 and there are a billion rooms, usually with some decent rates. Also, fun casino shit to do.

Leaving north to 35 is usually significantly better than the other two paths (west just simply doesn’t have a lot of hotel options, possibly some Airbnbs) and honestly anywhere Grapevine or further may easily end up being an hour drive home anyways, even on a Saturday night.

Just wanted to throw it out there as an option. Honestly, we recently moved to the other side of the metroplex and we’re even considering Winstar for that night.

Similarly, Denton is a good place to check out for hotel availability.
