I am 29M. Ex gf age - 28F. Relationship didn't work out as she went abroad for higher studies and I couldn't relocate. It was not feasible for me due to financial reasons, parents didn't agree on me leaving my job and studying. We respectfully broke off. She explained the loneliness was too much for her to handle and she's getting married soon to someone she met via arranged marriage.

How do people really get over end of relationships? I have engaged myself in a myriad of activities but my heart sinks at the thoughts of my relationship failures. I think with years, the burden of memories will get lighter and I'll find another person.
