Our pup is 6 months old now and we seem to have hurtled into adolescence. His ‘off switch’ has utterly disappeared. At home he has gone back to using clothes as tug toys (a shirt of mine has a new sleeve hole 🤦🏼‍♀️) and he is jumping and biting again when we play as well. On walks he’s also jumping and biting, which is turning every walk into a battleground. It’s just horrid for everyone. He seems to have lost focus on his crate as a ‘safe space’ and we’re struggling to get him to settle.
I worry as he just doesn’t seem to be able to settle or calm. He was unwell for a few weeks (ingested something on a walk that upset his stomach for nearly three weeks) and has just had his worming tablet so I was wondering if that might have made him feel a bit rough again but don’t want to be scrabbling for excuses when this may well just be terrible teens and us needing to adjust our training.
Hoping experienced owners might have some words of advice. This is cross posted in the puppy threads too.
