Is it fair if I cut off a friend under these circumstances?
Hi, I have a close friend who I am really wanting to cut out from my life because of a few reasons
- He is a Serial Cheater and has cheated on 4+ relationships with perhaps over 30+ women.
- Obsessed with high speeds and drives dangerously which has caused arrest abroad and here. 2 people close to him, have killed passengers in high speed drives.
- His best friend always makes a racist "joke" to me everytime we are together, and he giggles at this.
- He is very fradulent in how he does not declare the money he makes to the government and other ways.
Now i want to end this friendship but the issue is that a younger sibling of his has passed away unexpectedly only a few months ago, he does have at least 3 friends who are closer than me but am I an asshole for cutting him off in these circumstances. I was there for him for the first 2 months. Due to what's happening, I can't have a conversation but slowely fade away and being busy with work is how I think I'm going to make an excuse out of it. but i wanted advice on it all really, am i morally right to leave the friendship and in these circumstances and what's the best way to do so.
