Post your supernatural encounters with GPT Gremlins ITT

You know what, I actually like the gremlins. It's like a cute little easter egg that pops up in my conversations once in a while, and always brings a smile to my face. Just this morning ChatGPT was teaching me how to use some binary inspection CLI tools and lo and behold, a gremlin:

>The funny part is that od sounds obscure, but for “take these bytes and interpret them as a number,” it is exactly the kind of crusty little Unix gremlin you want.

So true bestie... so true.

But anyway, I would love to see your very own personal encounters with this wonderful phenomenon, and hear your opinions on it. Are you gremlin team, or do you hate them with a fiery passion?

Personally, I'm #savethegremlins all the way.

I like orbs. I call these god orbs.

If you like orbs and have some to share, please do.

So I'm running into this issue any time I try to use codex exec. Even something as simple as

codex exec "Say hello"

Will lead to this issue. I do get output from the model, but when testing it with more complex tasks I see it's very common for the model to get stuck trying the same commands again and again, and ending up wasting a bunch of tokens before the aforementioned error pops up again. This doesn't seem to happen only sometimes either, as I just haven't been able to use exec yet.

Interactive mode works perfectly, of course. I'm on a plus plan, if that makes a difference, and my codex is up to date.

Is anyone else running into this problem?
