Being "forced" to leave my simple edc.

Hello! For 2 and a half years I had a flip phone, keys, wallet, pocket notebook, and a digital camera. Absolutely loved it, and I could make a whole separate post about the impact it had on my life. When I got to university, I tried to push through first semester with a flip phone but found it was literally impossible to do the things I needed to in university, so I had to switch back in second semester. Everything is put on apps that you must download, not websites. I was able to get through my final 2 years in highschool by just using websites, in university I am not. I find it weird and rather frustrating. Any similar experiences where you were forced out of your "dumber" EDC?

Hello! I just discovered that my tent is unfortunately broken and cannot be used anymore. I was thinking of reusing the material and making new gear out of it. Im relatively new to sewing, having only made totebags and similar projects. Does anyone have any suggestions on beginner gear I can make that would be made from material like this?
