dysthymia. Am I recovering?
My backstory.
Around age 12, I started suffering from depression, which lasted for two years. And then, as I understand it, it became persistent. I have dysthymia. And I've been living with it for eight years now. For the last year, I've had about 10-15% of my total energy each day.
I was more of a vegetable than a person.
So, I went to the doctor and am taking fluoxetine, olanzapine, and atomoxetine (for ADHD).
And the feeling of my brain being in a fog has started to disappear. I'm being washed over by waves of memories that I can now access (before, it was as if the memories were foggy or behind glass, and it was difficult to connect with them and recall anything). I also noticed that I liked a certain guitar solo. Damn, that was awesome, even though I'd heard that song before. But I've developed an interest in music. It's not like before, like I was drowning in it, but now I actually enjoy listening to it. I've also developed an interest in game development.
Can I hope this is the treatment(healing)? (PS: I'm on fluoxetine for 6 months (60 mg for 3 months), olanzapine for 2 months (2.5 mg for 2 months), and atomoxetine for 3 months (120 mg).
Sorry, I'm using Google Translate, so some of the words might be distorted.
