It’s been a journey with discovering the effects of narcissistic parents have on their children and coming to terms that I may have one. I just have a question though: why do they always confuse you?
There are many incidents where my dad seems caring but then says hurtful things but then says he doing that to help me. Or that he seems supportive at first then turns around and claims I’m making a mistake or I’m disrespecting/embarrassing him then goes back to being supportive again??? It’s like whiplash every single time and I feel in a constant state of confusion.
Is there a purpose and if there is, what is it?
