After watching Bayern vs PSG and a few other UCL games, one thing really stood out to me — the difference in attacking mentality

In that match, both teams consistently looked for the best possible option instead of forcing individual moments. There were clear situations where a player could’ve taken the shot, but chose to pass to someone in a better position. For example, Dembélé leaving balls for Kvaratskhelia showed a level of awareness and team-first thinking that directly led to better outcomes

Bayern showed the same mentality. Kane, despite being in Ballon d’Or conversations, was dropping deep, helping in buildup, defending, and creating for others. He’s not playing for numbers — he’s playing for the system.

Now compare that to Real Madrid’s attack.

At times, it feels like players such as Vini or Mbappé prioritize taking the shot themselves rather than looking for a higher-quality passing option. There are moments where a simple pass could create a much clearer chance, but instead the move ends with a forced attempt or breakdown in play

Over time, that affects the whole team — it reduces fluidity, makes the attack predictable, and wastes good positions.

This isn’t about questioning quality — these are elite players. But at this level, decision-making and collective play make the difference, and right now Madrid’s attack feels a step behind teams like PSG and Bayern in that aspect.

Interested to hear what others think — is this a real issue or just situational frustration?
