I am 18 and about to join engineering college, I’m confused between CSE and ECE. My parents want ECE because they think it keeps both hardware and software options open and that CSE is too crowded. But I have no interest in circuits or core electronics—only general tech like phones, performance, and content creation. I’m more inclined toward software and digital work, but I don’t have any real experience in coding yet. I’m worried that if I take ECE, I’ll still end up switching to coding later. Based on this, which one should I choose?
