Just for context, I'm not mad about it but I did think it was strange behaviour and keep ruminating on it.
We were out for work drinks, we all had a few each and then as it got later it trickled down to me, two current colleagues, and one former. We were all sitting together, chatting, drinking. The other three work/ed in the admin portion of the job, but we are a small team of like 15 and all work together everyday. We all get along on a day to day basis, but the others are a bit closer just due to the nature of the job.
One of my colleagues went to get a drink, and came back with three pints, one for her and one for each for the other two. I didn't think much of it, bc I thought she was quite closer with the former employee, and I know she likes the other girl and they work together. But then, she bought another round, and then, another round. I helped one of the girls to finish the pints that she kept buying because she wasn't planning on drinking much anyways. I bought myself a pint, but stopped there and helped sip on the other one.
Anyways, this just became a bit of an odd thing by the end. This was not about going in rounds, she was the only one buying drinks and seemsed like she just wanted to keep the "party" going.
So, is it rude or odd behaviour that she kept buying everyone drinks but me?
Also please be kind with responses, I'm just wondering if this is just a me thing that I find puzzling or if you wouldn't think twice about it. It's okay if this colleague doesn't like me and that the outcome, I don't need to be liked by everyone, but if you were in that situation; what would you think? Thank you!
