When you give a maniac power part 2

You would think Donalds releasing a mixtape the way he announces dates and times for his attacks.

Are you against this madness? the madness in the UK + USA? there seems to be a problem with electing unstable politicians who are in charge of making decisions for a whole population!

- he may just press the red button ⏰

Girls: How many of you still wear thongs?

Was out with a group of friends from uni yesterday and the topic of underwear came up and they were SHOCKED when I said I wore thongs daily. They said they were them occasionally with outfits but generally Brazilian style or just full briefs are more comfortable. They feel they got thongs out of their system after their uni days (we’re now all 27/28).

I’ve worn them since I was around 14/15 and would never go back to normal underwear now as I’m so used to them. Am I the anomaly here? What do most of you wear?

Do you also have a street in your village/town/city with a name that tickles you?

There's a street near us called Clitterhouse Road. I don't know why that makes me and my wife chuckle when the bus announces it as the next stop, but it does. There is also the one I took a photo of here

How much do you have in savings?

Was just speaking to a friend who says they have roughly £45k in savings (with £20k in a maxed out cash ISA, £20k in a savings account) and £5k in another savings account and my jaw dropped. I have around £1.2k in a savings account with my high street bank.

His amount seems abnormal to me considering we’re both 26. Was wondering what everyone else had saved.

How do you deal with juggling loads of mad life stress?

Circumstances are thus:

- I have quite a stressful job involving supporting people in complex / emotional situations.

- I have two young and very cool kids. Albeit they’re exhausting, up early, arguing, classic kid stuff.

- I have an awesome and super cool wife. But I often feel guilty she’s taking the brunt of parenting because I’m often working over etc.

- I’m the main person for a few people outside of my immediate family. My brother is an unemployed alcoholic who I’m trying to support and keep calm, along with a close friend who I’m his main guy during a divorce.

- I have dodgy back and need to go to the gym often but struggle to fit it in with parent obligations.

I feel like I’m about to pop with stress!

How do you deal with this kind of stuff? Take it in your stride? Back off from things?

Do you think Argentina will make another play for the Falklands?

With Javier Milei sucking up to Trump, I can't help but feel like the question of the Falklands will soon come up again. With any other President I wouldn't think much of it but considering how he basically does the bidding of anyone who pays him a compliment it does feel concerning.

Does anyone use a Filofax or physical diary over a digital calendar?

I'm 25. I use my phone for calendar reminders and alarms, but stuff like passwords/addresses/notes etc go in the Filofax.

Thoughts on Kazakhstan?

I’m from Kazakhstan and I’m curious about your opinion on us and our country

EDIT: I will not be reacting to Borat references, as it is a very racist and inaccurate movie portraying our country. The film wasn’t even made in Kazakhstan, it was made in Romania

Which British Prime Minister from our history, regardless of their popularity, would thrive in today's political climate?

For me it would be Clement Atlee. The father of the NHS and co-founder of the UN and NATO. He would know how to fix the NHS and deal with Trump.

If there's one good thing to come out of this war with Iran, do you think it'll be a more rapid movement toward renewable energy?

All of us remember our school days in science class where we had the lesson about fossil fuels and renewable energy sources. I went to school in the 90s and even then we were told that oil probably wouldn't last another 50 years at the then consumption rate. Now consumption has increased, but so has the oil supply.

As a world, we are moving more and more toward chaos with the Iran war, which has shown us just how vulnerable we are in terms of oil dependency. do you think this exposure of that vulnerability will lead us to a greater push toward renewable sources of energy to make us more energy independent?

Why is it so controversial to say that the triple lock on pensions needs reforming?

I just want to outline first that I think we should have a state pension and that we should be allowed to retire comfortably, that said, why should we spend so much on what is a benefit on an entire generation? The old system was fine, the current system is too expensive and considering future generations will either never retire or retire much later in life it seems a short term splurge of money on something that doesn’t produce growth. I think it should be both means tested and pegged to growth so that those most in need get the triple lock as well as those who worked in vital services such as the military or police. The old state pension was fine and should remain as default unless you meet certain criteria in my mind. Also, why do the same people who cry ageism at any comment on changing the pension say when there’s talk of free school meals, breakfast clubs and subsidised child care say if you can’t afford kids don’t have them, but if you say don’t retire if you can’t afford it your a bad person? Of course there are many factors when it comes to retirement that should be considered as there is with children. Anyway please feel free to tell me I’m wrong or something like usual!
