After 3 failed SSRIs, I started looking into clinical trials - found this resource

I've been on Lexapro, Zoloft, and Wellbutrin over the past 4 years and none of them have really worked. My psychiatrist wants to try Effexor next but I'm honestly exhausted with the trial-and-error approach.

Started researching clinical trials for new depression treatments and found mentalhealthfrontiers.com it's basically a curated list of trials that are actively recruiting right now. Way easier to navigate than clinicaltrials.gov which is a mess.

They have a specific filter for treatment-resistant depression which shows psilocybin trials, ketamine studies, and some other newer compounds I hadn't heard of. Most are free and some even cover travel costs.

I'm in Atlanta and there are actually 3 trials near me recruiting right now. Considering applying to the psilocybin one but still doing research.

Anyone here done clinical trials for TRD? Worth it or waste of time?

Wife and I have been married 27 years. Last year, I became disabled, so I’m on a very fixed income. I usually try my best to at least give her a nice dinner out, or a small gift to acknowledge that our three adult children survived their upbringing. Sacrifices were made and our budget is still limited.

I’m sure if I mentioned it, she would tell me that she understands and that a gift just isn’t necessary. I don’t care. She raised three children into adulthood.

So mothers, what would you appreciate from your husband that money can’t buy?
