Quit weed a month ago, after smoking everyday for 15+ years. I also quit drinking after drinking 10-15 beers every night and although i feel much better from the alcohol. I dont feel any bennefit of quitting the weed.

I love weed. It helps me unwind quick after a 12 hour shift. I sleep like a baby. Movies and games are interesting. Music and sex is better. Food tastes better. I lose weight when smoking, put on weight when not smoking (i dont tend to eat unless stoned). I enjoy hikes, cycling and fishing with a joint. I dont get crazy paranoid or anxious when smoking. It works really well for me. The only plus iv gained from not smoking is saving a bit of money but i could buy bud for around £3-4 a gram, so it was never expensive anyway. A pint costs double that in a pub.

Iv only stopped smoking due to moving 30mins away from my weed guy and i cant be bothered to go pick any up. I also dont want to lose my license for failing a THC test. So im currently going through the medical route for a prescription so i dont lose my license.

But what are the actual benefits of not smoking that you guys have experienced? As iv already stated anxiety and mental issues were never a problem, im literally just saving some money but damn im bored. Theres only so long i can go to the gym for, watch tv, play games, socialise etc for. Weed just made me comfortable doing nothing when i literally had nothing else to do other than relax. Whether that be on top of a mountain iv climed or binge watching a whole tv series. I do only smoke at night time as well, wake and bake made me waste my day so didnt do that unless i had the flu or something and was happy to lie in bed all day dying.
