I never thought I’d be posting this here but here I am. Separation is happening and I’m trying to keep it together for my kid. Military life is all I've known for a while so the idea of legal battles and paperwork is just… a lot.

I’m looking for a lawyer in Virginia who gets the military side of things. A friend told me about Mahoney Richmond Thurston but I don't know much about them or if they’re the right fit for someone in my shoes. If you’ve been through this, how did you start? Who did you talk to? I just need to make sure my kid and I are okay.
