Some Nickelodeon actors and actresses got the opportunity to have roles in movies and/or TV shows set in the past or the future. For example Addison Riecke of The Thundermans franchise portrayed the title character on the Brat TV period drama A Girl Named Jo which is set in the 1960's and she also portrayed one of the main character's school mates on the horror thriller The Man in the White Van (based on a true story) which is set in the mid-1970's in which another Nickelodeon actress, Brec Bassinger, portrayed the main character. And I think other House of Splat alums also were in fictions set in the past or the future. Can you name them?
Some Disney Channel/XD actors and actresses got the opportunity to play characters in movies and/or TV shows which are set in the past and/or the future. For example, both Zendaya and Zac Efron were in the musical drama The Greatest Showman, set in late 19th century and early 20th century. And Raven-Symoné first Disney role was on the TV movie Zenon, a Girl from the 21st century, which first aired in 1999 and set in 2099. And there are other actors from the House of Mouse which were on fictions set in the past and the future. Can you name them?
Like Disney Channel/XD actors, Nickelodeon ones also did some cartoon voice-over for the network and/or other studios, showcasing another part of their acting talents. For example, besides having portrayed Crazy Steve on Drake & Josh, Spencer Shay on iCarly and Vinnie Bassett on the short-lived Wendell and Vinnie, Jerry Trainor also voiced the title-character on the Nicktoons animated series T.U.F.F. Puppy. Ariana Grande also voiced some animated characters such as Diaspro on Winx Club. Can you name other examples of Nickelodeon actors and actresses who did voice work for animated series and/or movies?
Sometimes, when big Hollywood actors and from other countries (in movies and TV) travel abroad, they got the opportunity to meet the comedians that dub them in foreign languages. For example, Tony Curtis actually met Michel Roux, the comedian that dubbed him in the French version of the early-70's series The Persuaders! Famous British comedian also met the comedian that dubbed him in French version, the late and great Roger Carel. Same thing for Bruce Willis who got the opportunity to met the late Patrick Poivey, who was his official French dubbing voice, the two Dallas stars, Linda Gray and Larry Hagman who got the opportunity to meet Evelyn Selena and Dominique Paturel who were their respective French dubbing voices. Can you tell me if actors got the opportunity to meet comedians that dub them in Spanish (Latin America and Europe), Portuguese (Brazil and Europe), Italian, German, Russian, Japanese, Korean or Hindi?
We've noticed that some Nickelodeon actors played different charcaters and same TV shows and movies, which are Nick productions or not. For example, Breanna Yde and Ricardo Hurtado were both on the School of Rock series and also on the Netflix original movie and original series Malibu Rescue. Can you name other actors and actresses from the Splat Network who were on the same flicks and series?
We've noticed that in movie and TV industry, some actors were together on the same flicks and/or series and Disney Channel/XD actors are no exception. Whatever it's a Disney production or not, they collaborated each other for many years. For example, Peyton R. List and Karan Brar were together before and after portraying Emma and Ravi Ross on both Jessie and Bunk'd, since they were also together on Diary of a Whimpy Kid movie adaptation franchise and on the Netflix original movie Hubie Halloween. And there are other actors and actresses who were on the same productions. Can you name some of them?
It's gonna be 30 years since Set It Off originally released in theaters and I wonder if a sequel should be made with the only surviving main character and a new quartet of female bandits. And which actresses should be part of the next generation? I'm thinking about Keke Palmer, Imani Hakim, China Anne McClain and Nafessa Williams. If you have some suggestions of the new four-core cast, you're free to tell which actresses you wanna see on the sequel
We know Disney and Nickelodeon actors for their roles in TV shows, movies and their voicing in animated series, but they also appeared on videoclips from their own songs as well as ones from well-established artists. For example, Ariana Grande's videoclips often feature appearances by her former Victorious co-stars such as Matt Bennett, Elizabeth Gillies or Daniella Monet. Keke Palmer appeared on "Runaway Love" videoclip by Ludacris ft. Mary J. Blige, Zendaya on "Versace on the Floor" videoclip by Bruno Mars, just to name a few.
Have you noticed that in some car chase or high-speed scenes from movies and TV shows (live-action or animated) there are some semi-truck trailers or barriers that block the path of drivers? Cars may pass under those or, in same cases breaking barriers, but in many times they lose their roof if they're too low turning vehicles into convertibles! It happened frequently on action and comedy productions. And those scenes are often memorable! What are your favorite instant convertible scenes?
I've noticed that scenes when people are getting slapped are so rare on Disney and Nickelodeon shows as well as original TV movies. But there were some exceptions. For example, Bertram Winkle got slapped by Rhoda Chesterfield on an episode Jessie or Cyrus also got slapped by Roxie on the DCOM Let It Shine. And on the episode "Max Minions" from season 2 of The Thundermans, Max got slapped by Mr. Colosso after he told him that he can no longer make pranks to his school mates. But it never happened in another shows (live-action or animated) from those two networks! I wonder why...
It's great hearing sitcom actors and actresses voicing cartoon characters for animated movies and/or shows and it shows their incredible talent to be like them. Especially in Disney, Dreamworks, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Illimination Studios productions. And kids love it, too and they often referring actors to their voice work rather than their roles in live-action sitcoms
Aside their career on those two youth networks, some Disney and Nickelodeon actors also participated to game and reality shows as contestants or judges, and we saw another part of them
Several Disney actors and actresses had a complete career in the House of Mouse. And by complete career, I mean they were on one or two original series (especially sitcoms), one or more DCOMs and did some cartoon voice-over, proving their incredible talents in acting, singing, dancing or lending their voice to animated characters.
So many Disney Channel/XD actors started their acting carrer before entering the House of Mouse on TV shows and/or movies and some of us discovered them with these.
Many Disney Channel/XD and Nickelodeon actors (kids, teen or adults) also were on TV series which aired on national networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, The CW (or UPN and The WB, its two predecessors) or cable networks such as TBS, TNT, USA Network, Freeform, Showtime or TV Land before, during or after their career on those youth networks. Can you name them?
