ive only ever owned chevy cruzes but it was getting way too expensive to fix, like theres no point in doing expensive, necessary repairs any more.
in these past few months i've had to have the valve cover, intake manifold, and coolant reservoir replaced. i was told that the oil filter housing had a very small leak but could probably wait a week or 2.
about a couple weeks later, my check engine light came on again and gave a catalytic converter code. ok cool, its probably a sensor or something. NOPE my catalytic converter is bad, as well as my ac compressor! the oil leak predictably got worse too, so i had to get that fixed.
thanks to the financial assistance of my mother and my girlfriend's family, we are able to get a loan to buy a new car (not actually new), its a 2016 Ford Cmax Energi and my gf and i dont have to constantly live in fear that my car will break down at any moment. goodbye friends
