GM has a bulletin for this concern, "erratic" pressure at idle can be caused by a damaged oil nozzle. Which only requires some 22 hours to replace. And its funny because if you weren't watching the pressure you would never even know anything was happening until the light came on.
I work at a small GM dealer, not currently enrolled in the Technician Excellence program. I'm trying to find info so I can get the boss man to get the shop enrolled and so I can get enrolled since I'm just 2 steps from MTC in Electrical and working on EV expert.
If anyone here is familiar with the program, is it still ongoing? I can only find a pdf on STS with info about it but its dated to 2023 enrollment and had a cutoff for that year in November. I'm assuming its updated yearly though and there is still opportunity to enroll for the next year. Does anyone know when the enrollment period for the dealership is for the 2027 year, since I'm assuming it's too late for this year?
Also, are there any requirements for the dealership itself? I know there are a few different requirements that technicians have to meet and maintain each quarter to get the bonus, but not sure if there's anything that would prevent the dealership from being able to be enrolled. Any information about this would be a big help.
I know it has clearly been through some crap but good god, it gave me a heart attack when I was gathering up the dirty clothes to put in the washer.
