My friend wants to travel abroad this summer but I can't what do I do?

A couple of months ago I had suggested to my friend group that we should do a group trip to somewhere this summer, one of the places I suggested was Italy. I suggested this before the rise in flight prices, but now they're extremely expensive and I wouldn't be able to afford them. I suggested instead that we go to Montreal, because 1) the flight would be much cheaper 2) I have an apartment there for school. Obviously Montreal isn't Italy but it's all I can really afford right now. I would still be extremely fun with lots of culture, delicious food, festivals and that European vibes minus having to pay an arm and a leg. I told my friend that it would make sense and even her mom thinks it would be a good idea but she seems hesitant. I am also a broke university student. Also for context I am the only person in my friend group who is paying for their own schooling, I do not have as much disposable income as my friends, it would overall be cheapest for us all to stay in my apartment. When I brought this up I also said that my lease was ending on at the end of august so I'd have to be back in Montreal by then to move, I was then accused that I was only bringing them there to move my furniture. Which didn't make any sense because my friends would have to be back home by then for their university, I have other friends and my brother to help me move here and I'm just moving across the street and I have like no furniture? So I kind of got annoyed and was like "Okay besides the non-existent issue of moving my 2 pieces of furniture why would Montreal not be a good choice?" and it went silent. How can I convince my friends that Montreal would be a good place to travel to?
