CT SCAN WITH CONTRAST??

for context i’ve gotten spinal fusion t3-t12 in 2022, and im still in severe pain. a new doctor, a neurosurgeon is recommending a CT scan with contrast, is that typical? and also i have severe anxiety and have seen so many horror stories about how contrast affects you (feeling like you peed yourself, feeling super hot, throat hot, nausea and vomiting, allergic reaction) i’m so scared

I’ve had spinal fusion, and I’m getting an MRI in a few days and I have “cobalt chromium” rods and god knows what kind of screws because it doesn’t say in my chart. i’m scared to get the MRI because of possible complications (like the metal heating up) given the material is slightly magnetic. anyone have this experience/metal and gotten an MRI? I’m so scared. i’m not getting any answers from healthcare professionals. (yes i will be taking out my piercing for it lol)
