I’m curious what everyone’s biggest “annoyance” is when trip planning for the outdoors?

Preface to my own answer - it’s annoying because of my own lack of due diligence.

I love the outdoors, especially national parks, and put a lot of time and energy into it but a common mistake of mine is to get a campground in said location, but not realize that driving to the other part of the area I wanted to see is in fact only possible by 1 road and will take 4 hours to circumvent the non-road areas 🤣
