Need help with deciding on a new lens …

I’m currently using a Canon R50 with the kit lens and the 50mm f/1.8. Since the 50mm on crop is roughly an 85mm equivalent, it’s great for portraits, but I’m looking for something more versatile for portraits and campaign work.

I originally wanted the Sigma 17–40 RF, but it’s almost impossible to find where I live unless I import it from the US, which ends up costing much more with shipping and warranty concerns.

Now I’m considering the Sigma 18–50mm f/2.8 since it seems like a solid all round option for the R50. Would you recommend it, or is there another lens in that range that would suit my setup better?
